January Classes

 
Hands-On: Make Your Own Pasta! (Thursday, January 17) $ 65
Homemade pasta is so much tastier than the dry pasta most of us are used to making at home—and it’s easier to whip up than you might think! Our instructors will show you how to make your own fettucini with a creamy Alfredo sauce and other homemade pasta creations.
 
This class runs from 6 – 8 p.m.
 
Hands-On: Instant Pot—Demystifying Modern Pressure Cooking (Saturday, January 26) $85 (SOLD OUT)
Thanks to the Instant Pot, pressure cooking is all the rage again, but many home cooks are still intimidated by high pressure cooking methods. Our instructors will walk you through the ins-and-outs of today’s pressure cookers, showing you how to make quick and healthy recipes like a delectable homemade tomato sauce.

This class runs from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
 
Hands-On: Diverse Delicious Dumplings (Thursday, January 31) $65
Most cuisines feature some kind of dumpling. There’s just something so appealing about those delicious morsels of dough. Learn how to master a variety of different dumpling dishes, including our warm and comforting chicken with herb dumplings.

This class runs from 6 – 8 p.m.
 

February Classes

 

Hands-On: Instant Pot—Demystifying Modern Pressure Cooking (Saturday, February 2) $85

Thanks to the Instant Pot, pressure cooking is all the rage again, but many home cooks are still intimidated by high pressure cooking methods. Our instructors will walk you through the ins-and-outs of today’s pressure cookers, showing you how to make quick and healthy recipes like a delectable homemade tomato sauce. Your fee includes: 3-hour class, samples, beverages and a recipe package.

Hands-On: Bread Making Basics (Saturday, February 9) $85
Few things are as satisfying as warm homemade bread. Join our instructors to learn the art and science of bread making, trying your hand at some classic recipes including our wholesome honey whole wheat buns.

This class runs from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
 
Special Event Hands-On: Tapas Night (Thursday, February 14 or Friday, February 15) $100
Small plates, known as tapas, make for a fun and delicious way to entertain and socialize with friends. At this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to make a variety of homemade tapas, including our unbelievable empanadas. Since tapas go best with a glass or two of vino, our instructors will also show you how to best pair each dish with an appropriate wine.

This class runs from 6 – 8:30 p.m.
 
Thai food is a delicate balance of sweet, spicy, salty and sour—which is why fragrant and often pungent Thai dishes are a favourite of so many. Learn how to prepare a Thai feast of your own at this hands-on class where you’ll get to make your own Bangkok Pad Thai and other iconic Thai dishes.

This class runs from 6 – 8 p.m.
 

March Classes

Hands-On: Sourdough Beginnings (Saturday, March 9) $85
Sourdough is the gold standard of artisanal breads. Rustic, airy and flavourful, this fermented bread is perfect for sandwiches, to dunk in stews or soups, or to eat all on its own with a smear of butter. Learn how to make a perfect loaf in this hands-on workshop.
 
This class runs from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
 
Hands-On: Cooking with Beer (Thursday, March 14) $65
A nice cold beer goes great with a meal, but it can also work well as an ingredient within the meal! Beer adds flavour and effervescence to a number of dishes, including our tasty Canadian beer biscuits. For those who best love their beer in liquid form, we’ll also be offering beer for purchase.

This class runs from 6 – 8 p.m.

Hands-On: Feasting on Fish (Thursday, March 21) $65
Fish can be intimidating to those of us who live in a land-locked province. Many of us stick to our salmon and never learn about the wider world of fish. At this hands-on class, we’ll help you build the confidence to better explore your local fish counter as we make a number of delicious fish dishes, like our ultra-flavourful halibut with citrus salsa.

This class runs from 6 – 8 p.m.
