April Classes

Adult Cooking Basics Part 1 (Saturday, April 22) $50
From kitchen safety to knife skills to food storage guidelines, this first class will be packed full of useful information to get you started in the kitchen. Put your newly-learned skills to work by creating homemade soup and biscuits – a classic comfort meal that will leave you warm and satisfied!
Class runs from 10 am - 12 pm
Adult Cooking Basics Part 2 (Saturday, April 29) $50
The second part of our series will focus on menu planning, nutrition basics and the concept of “planned-overs” to set you on the road to making complete meals that won’t take you hours to create. Try your hand at making delicious Muffin Cup Meat Loaves, Creamy Orzo with Parmesan and an Egg-Free Caesar Dressing. Then, learn how to turn that into a new meal the next day for leftovers that will be anything butboring! Hands-on class.

May Classes

Hands-On:  Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with Tacos (Thursday, May 4) $50
From the soft shell to the tender meat and all the toppings in between, tacos make a great meal! Learn how to make scrumptious homemade tortillas and fresh fillings to enjoy any day of the week. Hands-on class.
Adult Cooking Basics Part 3 (Saturday, May 6) $50
One of the most intimidating components of cooking is learning how to demystify meat! Often the star of a meal, it can get confusing to figure out what cut of meat you should buy, when you should braise, roast or fry and how to season your meat for maximum flavor. Learn all this and more, including how to make a perfect cheese sauce and fluffy mashed potatoes to round out a meal that will impress even the pickiest of eaters!

Sweet and Savoury Crepes (Thursday, May 11) $50
A classic French crêpe is the perfect vessel for delicious fillings to satisfy even the most discerning palates! Learn how to make a smooth batter and practice the perfect technique to produce thin, light crêpes. Then, create both a savoury and sweet filling to complement these delicate creations. Hands-on class.
Thai-Inspired Appetizers (Wednesday, May 17) $50
Contrasting flavours of hot and spicy, sweet and salty, sour, fragrant and pungent – these flavours combine to create the tastes of Thailand. Join us and try your hand at making flavorful Thai-inspired appetizers! Hands-on class.
Jams and Jellies (Wednesday, May 31) $50
Making homemade jams and jellies is a fun and rewarding experience, and it leaves you with a delicious treat to share with family and friends! Learn how to make and safely preserve your favourite summer fruits. You will take home recipes and some of your own preserved jam. Hands-on class.  

June Classes

Intro to Indian Cooking (Thursday, June 8) $50
Skip the takeout and learn how to make your own mouth-watering Indian dishes! Join us and prepare naan bread, chutney and some Indian-inspired curry dishes that you know and love. Hands-on class.
Mediterranean Appetizers (Thursday, June 15) $50
The Mediterranean is all about warm weather, blue water and delicious, healthy food! Join us as we make a few tasty Mediterranean-inspired appetizers that we’re sure you’ll love. Hands-on class.
Celebrate Canada's Birthday (Thursday, June 22) $50
Make Canada’s 150th birthday one to remember! Join us to prepare some Canadian-themed dishes and gain some inspiration for how to host your own Canada Day party this year.
Farmers Market Feast (Saturday, June 24) $50
Join us for a tour around the City Market Downtown. With seasonal ingredients purchased at the market, we will make a garden-fresh meal from start to finish. Hands-on class.
