​How to Make Spritz Cookies
​Spritz are buttery cookies that are formed into a variety of shapes by forcing dough through a cookie press. They are often referred to as pressed cookies.
Using a cookie press takes practice and requires a bit of patience. To achieve good results when making spritz, keep these tips in mind:  
  • Use soft butter to obtain the right dough consistency. 
  • The dough should be at room temperature before filling the cookie press.
  • Press the cookies onto ungreased cookie sheets. This will allow the dough to release cleanly from the press to create perfect shapes.
  • Work slowly. If at first you don't succeed, just try again. Gather up the dough for another go!
