Recipe of the Month

“For me, there is nothing I would rather have on the dinner table at Easter than a baked ham!" says Chef Ryan. "In this recipe, the combination of the sweet maple glaze and the salty ham are a great pairing. Also, the scoring technique used in our Maple Glazed Ham really helps create a nice crunchy exterior on the ham. Just try to resist snacking while you’re carving it up! The last thing I really like in this recipe is that it calls for a bone-in ham which not only yields a very flavourful ham, but also gives you the chance to make a great soup broth to use up your leftovers."

Seasonal Tip: Maximizing Comfort in Your Home

Did you know that you should change the direction of your ceiling fan throughout the year?
Yes, changing up the airflow in your home will ensure you maintain a comfortable temperature – and, help give your furnace a much needed break. During the winter, set your ceiling fan in a clockwise direction, on low speed to push warmer air down towards the floor. Spring is a great time to dust off the blades, and flip the setting to counter-clockwise - helping draw cool air upwards.
