CREAMY COLESLAW

1 cup (250 mL) mayonnaise
2 tbsp (25 mL) vinegar
1 tbsp (15 mL) lemon juice
1 tbsp (15 mL) oil
1 tbsp (15 mL) water
1 tsp (5 mL) Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp (15 mL) sugar
8 cups (2 L) shredded cabbage

With a whisk or blender, thoroughly combine all ingredients except cabbage. Refrigerate until serving or for up to 24 hours. Toss cabbage with dressing just before serving. Serves 8 - 10.

Cook's Note: Variations: Chopped unpeeled red apple, pineapple tidbits, walnuts or pecans may be added to this basic coleslaw.
