HERBED GARLIC BREAD


1/2 cup (125 mL) butter, softened
2 tbsp (25 mL) finely chopped green onion
1/2 tsp (2 mL) garlic powder
1/2 tsp (2 mL) sage, crumbled
1/4 tsp (1 mL) oregano, crumbled
1/4 tsp (1 mL) thyme, crumbled
1/4 tsp (1 mL) salt
1 loaf French bread, sliced

Preheat oven to 350ºF (180ºC). Combine all ingredients except bread until blended. Spread butter mixture over one side of each bread slice. Reassemble loaf and wrap in foil.

Bake for 30 - 35 minutes or until heated through. Serves 8.
