Colouring Easter Eggs

For each colour desired, use the following:

3/4 cup (175 mL) hot water
1 tsp (5 mL) pure white vinegar
1/4 tsp (1 mL) liquid food colouring
Eggs, hard-cooked and chilled

In a small bowl or large mug, combine water, vinegar and food colouring.  Carefully add one egg and leave in coloured water mixture until the desired shade of colour is achieved.  Remove egg from coloured water and place on a rack to allow to dry.  Working with one egg at a time and reusing coloured water, repeat procedure.

To make orange, combine red and yellow.
To make purple, combine red and blue.
To make green, combine blue and yellow.
To make brown, combine red and green.
To make black, combine red, blue and green.
