Checking the Barbecue for Gas Leaks
Before lighting your barbecue, check to see if there are any possible leaks coming from it. With the natural gas line’s valve in the on position and the barbecue’s hose connected to the line, open your barbecue lid. With all the burners turned off, use your hand to fan the air above the grill towards you to check for any pungent gas odour. When the burners are in the off position, no gas should be released. If you smell gas, turn off the valve on your natural gas line and call a qualified technician.
