July 2015

It's heating up outdoors and there is nothing that can keep us indoors.  Whether you’re enjoying nature’s backyard or one of many outdoor events this summer, we've got recipes for you!

Summertime Favourites!

Summer is here, and the markets are brimming with freshly grown produce just waiting to be turned into a delicious meal. But what to make with it all?

Carnival Fare Food

If you feel like indulging in some carnival fare-like foods, here are our favourite make-at-home recipes. Invite your friends and family members for a carnival-style party!

Mmmmm Bacon

Bacon is always a favourite at every carnival! Make your own Bacon Caramel Popcorn or Bacon Lollipops. Download a free copy of your digital bacon cookbook here!

Chef's Choice

“Summer time makes me want to get outdoors,” says chef Ryan, “and fire up the natural gas barbecue or if camping, cook over an open flame. Either way, our Bacon-Wrapped Sausage Dogs are great! They can be prepped ahead of time and thrown on the grill when you’re ready to eat, but make a lot because the smell of these cooking will attract a crowd! Enjoy these with some of our homemade condiments and your taste buds will thank you!”

Parks Day

Participating provincial parks across Alberta will host fun activities for the whole family. Enter a sandcastle-building competition, learn about bear safety, go on a scavenger hunt, enjoy a campfire or just connect with nature. Parks Day is a great opportunity for Albertans to rediscover fun and reconnect with nature.

Installing a fence post?

Click before you dig!
Your yard has natural gas lines running underneath, and gas lines can be shallower than you think. It can take very little effort to puncture a natural gas line. As soil moves, changes or erodes, a line could be just a few inches below the surface

Extend your living space and enjoy warm nights on the patio or deck

When the weather cools, stay warm and cozy outside with a natural gas patio heater. For more information, visit ATCOGas.com.
