Asian Marinade

A marinade is a seasoned liquid used for soaking meat, poultry, fish, seafood, or vegetables in order to tenderize or to add flavor. Our rich Asian Marinade, consisting of soy sauce, dry sherry, fresh ginger, and garlic, is fantastic on beef, pork, or chicken.

Yield: Makes about 1 cup

Asian Marinade

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup dry sherry
  • 2 tbsp canola oil
  • 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients. Cover and refrigerate for up to 1 week.
  2. Use to marinate beef, pork or chicken. Allow meat to marinate for up to 24 hours.
  3. Discard marinade after use.
Tip: Double this recipe and use half as a basting sauce. Do not use marinade that has touched raw meat to baste with.
