Baking is one of the easiest ways to prepare asparagus. Seasoned with parsley and pepper, this is a great side dish to go with a roast or barbecued meal.

1 lb asparagus, trimmed
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
2 tbsp canola oil
Preheat oven to 400°F. Place asparagus tightly together in a greased baking pan. Sprinkle with parsley, salt, pepper and oil.
Bake, uncovered, until asparagus is just tender, about 15 minutes.
