BAKED ASPARAGUS

Baking is one of the easiest ways to prepare asparagus. Seasoned with parsley and pepper, this is a great side dish to go with a roast or barbecued meal.

Yield: Serves 4.

BAKED ASPARAGUS

Ingredients

  • 1 lb asparagus, trimmed
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp canola oil

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Place asparagus tightly together in a greased baking pan. Sprinkle with parsley, salt, pepper and oil.
  2. Bake, uncovered, until asparagus is just tender, about 15 minutes.
