Breakfast Banana Splits

Similar to the popular dessert, our breakfast version has sliced bananas, topped with yogurt, berries and muesli.

Yield: Makes 8.

Breakfast Banana Splits


  • 4 large firm ripe bananas
  • 2 cups plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 1/2 tsp grated orange peel
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup, divided
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 1/2 cups Maple Muesli with Dried Fruit (recipe on page 12) or granola
  • 1/2 cup mixed berries


  1. Cut bananas in half lengthwise and then cut each piece in half crosswise. Lay 2 banana pieces on each individual serving plate.
  2. To make yogurt sauce, whisk yogurt, orange peel, vanilla and 2 tbsp maple syrup together in a small bowl. Set aside.
  3. Combine raspberries, orange juice and remaining maple syrup in a small bowl. Mash berries with a fork.
  4. Top bananas evenly with yogurt sauce and berry mixture. Sprinkle with Maple Muesli with Dried Fruitand berries.
