This decadent hot chocolate is a great drink to serve to company or to enjoy on a cold night when you need a warm treat.

Ingredients

8 oz (224 g) semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
4 cups milk
1 cup butterscotch liqueur
Sweetened whipped cream
Chocolate shavings

Directions

Combine chocolate and milk in a medium saucepan.
Cook over low heat, whisking constantly, until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth and steaming. Do not boil.
Remove from heat; stir in liqueur.
Pour into mugs. Top each serving with a dollop of whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
