Chai Spice Blend

We added warm spices to make this delicious blend. Add to cakes, cookies or muffins or sprinkle on your morning latte. The Chai flavour will intensify in baked goods over time. This blend makes a great gift from the kitchen. 

 

Storage time: Up to 2 years on the shelf.

Chai Spice Blend

Ingredients

  • 4 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp ground allspice
  • 2 tsp ground cardamom
  • 2 tsp ground cloves
  • 2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 tsp nutmeg

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a small bowl.
  2. Store in an airtight container in a cool dry place.

Tip:

 

To use in baking recipes, add 1 – 2 tsp per 1 cup flour. Alternatively, to make 1 cup chai tea, place 1 tsp of spice blend in a disposable tea filter bag and steep along with black tea; sweeten to taste with honey.
