CHILI MAPLE SAUSAGES

Give plain chicken sausages a flavour boost by cooking them in chili powder and maple syrup. We bake the sausages in the oven so the sauce turns into a sticky glaze.

Yield: Serves 8.

CHILI MAPLE SAUSAGES

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 pkgs (375 g each) chicken sausages

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with nonstick foil.
  2. Combine all ingredients except sausages in a bowl. Add sausages and toss to coat.
  3. Place sausages in a single layer on prepared pan. Drizzle syrup mixture remaining in bowl over sausages.
  4. Bake, stirring occasionally, until sausages are glazed and completely cooked, about 40 minutes.
