CHOCOLATE COFFEE

This hot after-dinner cocktail is the perfect ending to a winter meal. If you’re worried about serving coffee in the evening, use decaffeinated coffee if you’d like.

Yield: Serves 8.

CHOCOLATE COFFEE

Ingredients

  • 4 oz (112 g) semi-sweet chocolate
  • 2 cups light cream (10%)
  • 4 cups strong hot coffee
  • 1/2 cup coffee liqueur
  • Sweetened whipped cream*
  • Cocoa*

Directions

  1. Bring chocolate and cream to a simmer, whisking constantly; stir in coffee.
  2. Remove from heat and whisk in liqueur until smooth.
  3. Ladle into cups or heavy goblets. Top with whipped cream and dust with cocoa.
