CINNAMON RAISIN CREAM CHEESE LOG

This tasty spread is great to have on hand for quick breakfasts over the holiday season. Spread it on bagels or toast.

Yield: Makes 1 1/2 cup.

CINNAMON RAISIN CREAM CHEESE LOG

Ingredients

  • ​8 oz (250 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch salt
  • 3/4 cup chopped toasted walnuts, divided
  • 1/4 cup golden raisins, chopped

Directions

  1. Using medium speed of an electric mixer, beat together cream cheese, syrup, cinnamon and salt until smooth.
  2. Stir in 1/4 cup walnuts and raisins. Cover and refrigerate until firm enough to handle.
  3. Shape into a log about 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Roll in remaining 1/2 cup walnuts.
  4. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or up to 2 days.
