Green Beans with Lemon and Pecans

This quick and easy side is a great flavourful way to eat your greens.

Green Beans with Lemon and Pecans


  • 4 cups sliced green beans
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onion
  • 1 tsp grated lemon peel
  • 1/4 tsp rosemary, crumbled, optional
  • 2 tbsp salted butter
  • 1/4 cup chopped toasted pecans
  • 1/4 tsp salt


  1. Cook beans in boiling water just until tender, about 5 minutes; drain.
  2. Meanwhile, sauté onion, lemon peel and rosemary in butter for 2 minutes. Stir in beans, pecans and salt. Serve immediately.
