HAM AND BROCCOLI STRATA

This strata is the ideal dish to make when guests are coming over for brunch. Let the eggs soak into the bread overnight and then bake it first thing in the morning.

HAM AND BROCCOLI STRATA

Ingredients

  • 8 cups bread cubes
  • 2 cups frozen chopped broccoli
  • 2 cups diced cooked ham
  • 8 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 3 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 3 cups 2% or homo milk
  • 2/3 cup sliced green onions
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/4 tsp white pepper
  • 1/4 tsp hot pepper sauce

Directions

  1. Layer bread cubes, broccoli and ham in a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Combine remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly. Pour over bread mixture; cover and refrigerate for up to 24 hours.
  3. Remove baking dish from refrigerator and let stand for 20 - 30 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 325ºF.
  4. Bake, uncovered until a knife inserted in centre comes out clean, about 50 - 55 minutes.
