Ice Cream in a Bag

Ingredients

• 1 cup whipping cream
• 1 cup homogenized milk
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar
• 2 tsp vanilla
• 10 cups ice*
• 1/3 cup salt *
• Mix ins (recipes bellow)*

Directions

1. In a bowl, mix together cream, milk, sugar and vanilla until sugar is dissolved.
2. Divide cream mixture evenly between 4 small zip-lock plastic bags, putting a 1/2 cup portion into each bag. Squeeze out air and seal tightly.
3. Add Mix Ins to individual bags as desired or leave plain for vanilla ice cream.
4. In a large (approximately 4 L) tight-sealing container such as a Tupperware or Rubbermaid container, fill 3/4 with ice. Mix in salt.
5. Add all 4 bags of cream mixture to the large container. Seal tightly.
6. Shake container until mixture in bags turns to ice cream, about 10 minutes. Ice cream will be soft but scoopable. For a firmer ice cream, place bags in freezer until the ice cream reaches desired firmness, up to an hour.
