Key Lime Tarts

Made with just a few ingredients, these kid-friendly tarts are quick to make and so tasty you will be asking for seconds. 

Storage Time: 7 days in the refrigerator or 1 month in the freezer.

Key Lime Tarts


  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 1 can (300mL) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 12 unbaked tart shells


  1. Pre-heat oven to 350°F.
  2. Place tarts shells on a large rimmed cookie sheet.
  3. Using medium speed of an electric mixer, beat egg yolks until thick and pale.
  4. Gradually beat in condensed milk, lime juice, and vanilla.
  5. Pour into tart shells.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes or until set.
  7. Cool tarts completely on a rack. May be frozen for up to 1 month.
