MOLASSES GLAZED CHICKEN WINGS

These sweet and spicy chicken wings are glazed with a mixture of molasses, hot sauce, Dijon mustard and soy sauce.

Yield: Makes 40 wings.

MOLASSES GLAZED CHICKEN WINGS

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 3 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp hot pepper sauce
  • 3 lb (1.5 kg) chicken wing drumettes

Directions

  1. To prepare marinade, whisk together all ingredients except chicken. Pour marinade into a heavy zip-lock plastic bag. Add chicken and squeeze bag to coat chicken with marinade. Seal bag and place on a large plate; refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.
  2. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  3. Remove chicken from marinade and place on a rack in a large foil-lined rimmed baking sheet; discard marinade.
  4. Bake until wings are glazed and golden brown, about 55 - 60 minutes. Serve hot. May be frozen for up to 1 month.
