PASTA WITH HAM AND BROCCOLI

This tasty pasta is full of pieces of ham and broccoli. Stir cubes of or cream cheese into the hot pasta to create a creamy sauce.

PASTA WITH HAM AND BROCCOLI

Ingredients

  • 4 cups rotini
  • 2 cups broccoli pieces
  • 2 cups diced ham
  • 1 green onion, sliced
  • 8 oz light cream cheese, cubed
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • Dash nutmeg

Directions

  1. Cook rotini according to package directions.
  2. Add broccoli to pasta during last 5 minutes of cooking and ham during last minute of cooking.
  3. Drain and return to pan. Stir in remaining ingredients.
  4. Cook over low heat until cheese is melted and mixture is heated through. Serve immediately.

Tip: Leftover flavoured cream cheese or part of a cheese ball may be substituted for the light cream cheese.
