PEANUT SAUCE
Put together your own Asian-style peanut sauce with peanut butter, soy sauce, fresh ginger and onion. This sauce is great on chicken skewers or Thai-inspired fare.
Yield: Makes 1 1/2 cups.

PEANUT SAUCE
Ingredients
- 1 tsp oil
- 1/4 cup coarsely chopped onion
- 1 tsp minced fresh ginger
- Dash cayenne pepper
- 1/2 cup creamy or chunky peanut butter
- 1 cup water
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
Directions
- In a saucepan, heat oil over medium heat; add onion, ginger and cayenne.
- Cook, stirring frequently, 1 minute. Stir in peanut butter. Gradually stir in water and soy sauce until well blended.
- Bring to boil, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens.
- Serve hot or at room temperature.
