PROSCIUTTO WRAPPED ASPARAGUS

These asparagus spears are wrapped in prosciutto and then grilled on the barbecue for a crispy salty appetizer. Choose thick pieces of asparagus for the best results.

PROSCIUTTO WRAPPED ASPARAGUS

Ingredients

  • 24 thick asparagus spears, trimmed
  • 12 slices prosciutto, halved lengthwise
  • 1/4 cup (50 mL) balsamic vinaigrette salad dressing

Directions

  1. Wrap each asparagus spear, spiral fashion, with a half slice of prosciutto.
  2. Brush with salad dressing. Grill over medium heat on natural gas barbecue, turning occasionally, for 4 – 5 minutes or until asparagus is tender crisp.
  3. Serve immediately.
