Quick Chicken Broth Fondue

Fondue is traditionally made with a variety of cheese, but it doesn’t have to be. Try this quick chicken broth to cook cubes of chicken, seafood or vegetables.

Yield: About 6 cups

Quick Chicken Broth Fondue

Ingredients

  • 8 cups no-salt-added chicken broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 8 black peppercorns
  • Salt to taste

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan, combine broth, water, ginger, onions, garlic and peppercorns.
  2. Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Remove from heat; let stand for 30 minutes.
  3. Strain; season with salt.
  4. Transfer to a metal fondue pot and keep hot.
  5. May be prepared and refrigerated up to 24 hours.
Tip: Use to cook thin slices of chicken, large shrimp, scallops, or vegetables.
