Raspberry and Blueberry Jam

Get the flavours of summer with this classic jam that combines backyard raspberries with blueberries.


Yield: Makes 8 cups (2 L)

Raspberry and Blueberry Jam


  • 4 cups (1 L) raspberries
  • 2 cups (500 mL) blueberries
  • 1/3 cup (75 mL) lemon juice
  • 7 cups (1.75 L) sugar
  • 2 pouches Certo Liquid


  1. Combine berries in a Dutch oven; crush berries.
  2. Add lemon juice and sugar, mixing well. Place Dutch oven over high heat and bring mixture to a full rolling boil, stirring constantly.
  3. Boil hard for 1 minute. Remove from heat and immediately stir in Certo. Stir and skim foam for 5 minutes.
  4. Pour into hot sterilized jars, leaving 1/4 inch (6 mm) headspace. Wipe jar rims thoroughly. Seal and process in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
