SAGE AND BRIE PIZZA WITH PINE NUTS

This unique barbecued pizza is simply topped with creamy brie cheese, slivered sage and pine nuts. It’s quite rich and is best shared among friends and family as an appetizer.

SAGE AND BRIE PIZZA WITH PINE NUTS

Ingredients

  • 1 store-bought pizza crust (12 inch/30 cm)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 wedge brie cheese, thinly sliced
  • 1 1/2 tsp slivered fresh sage
  • 1 tbsp pine nuts
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground pepper

Directions

  1. Brush top of pizza crust with oil.
  2. Arrange brie on top. Sprinkle with sage, pine nuts and pepper.
  3. Place pizza on a greased pizza pan or directly on barbecue grid.
  4. Bake, with lid down, over low heat on natural gas barbecue for 12 - 15 minutes or until heated through.
  5. Slice and serve.
