We brought the heat to this savoury make-ahead snack mix. Serve these tasty pretzels on game day or make a batch and give them as a gift from the kitchen.

Spicy Pretzel Mix
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup canola oil
- 1 tbsp packed dark brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 3/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme, crumbled
- 1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp dried dill weed, crumbled
- 1 pkg pretzel sticks (454 g)
Directions
- Combine all ingredients except pretzels in a large zip-lock plastic bag.
- Add pretzels. Seal bag and gently squeeze bag to coat pretzels. Let stand, turning bag occasionally, for 45 – 60 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 275°F.
- Spread pretzel mixture on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
- Bake, stirring every 15 minutes, until pretzels appear dry, about 45 – 60 minutes. May be refrigerated for up to 1 week.
