SPIKED DRUMS

These baked chicken wing drumettes get a flavour spike thanks to a bold blend of spices. Serve them as an appetizer or as a game night snack.

Ingredients

  • 4 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp lemon pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3 lb (1.5 kg) chicken wing drumettes

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. To prepare seasoning mixture, combine all ingredients except chicken in a small bowl. Divide seasoning mixture between two large heavy zip-lock plastic bags. Add half of chicken to each bag. Seal bags and shake to coat.
  3. In two large foil-lined rimmed baking sheets, place chicken in single layers on racks.
  4. Bake, uncovered, turning once, until golden brown, about 50 - 55 minutes.
