STRAWBERRY TIRAMISU
This new take on traditional tiramisu is made with fresh strawberries. We use store-bought ladyfingers to help the dessert come together more quickly.

STRAWBERRY TIRAMISU
Ingredients
- 12 oz (375 g) light cream cheese, softened
- 3/4 cup (175 mL) icing sugar
- 1/3 cup (75 mL) Marsala or rum, divided
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) sour cream
- 3/4 cup (175 mL) boiling water
- 1 tbsp (15 mL) instant coffee granules
- 24 - 28 ladyfingers
- 2 cups (500 mL) sliced strawberries
- 1 square semi-sweet chocolate, shaved
- Whole strawberries, cut into fans
Directions
- Beat together cream cheese, icing sugar, 1/4 cup (50 mL) Marsala and sour cream.
- Combine water and coffee granules in a pie pan. Stir to dissolve.
- Add remaining Marsala.
- Quickly dip one ladyfinger into coffee mixture, turning to coat. Place, flat side up, in bottom of a 9 inch (23 cm) square glass baking dish. Repeat with enough ladyfingers to cover bottom of dish. Trim to fit if necessary.
- Spread with half of cheese mixture.
- Cover with sliced strawberries.
- Dip remaining ladyfingers in coffee mixture and arrange over top of strawberries. Spread with remaining cheese mixture. Sprinkle with shaved chocolate. Garnish with strawberry fans.
- Cover and refrigerate for 8 - 24 hours. Cut into squares and serve.
