TURKISH RED PEPPER DIP

This Turkish-inspired dip is made with jarred roasted red pepper, walnuts, breadcrumbs and spices. Serve it with pita chips or baguette slices.

Yield: Makes 3/4 cup.

TURKISH RED PEPPER DIP

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup chopped drained canned roasted red peppers, patted dry
  • 1/4 cup chopped toasted walnuts
  • 1/2 cup soft fresh bread crumbs
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • Pita chips

Directions

  1. Place roasted peppers and walnuts in a food processor; process, using an on/off motion, until coarsely chopped. Add remaining ingredients (bread crumbs through garlic); process, using an on/off motion, until almost smooth.
  2. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or up to 24 hours. Stir before serving. Serve with pita chips.
