Whiskey Glazed Meatballs

We added a whisky glaze to this popular appetizer, perfect for a cocktail party with friends or on New Year’s Eve.

Whiskey Glazed Meatballs


  • 65 frozen cooked meatballs
  • 1 cup apple jelly
  • 1/3 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/3 cup rye whiskey
  • 1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 tsp hot pepper sauce


  1. Bake meatballs according to package directions.
  2. Meanwhile, combine apple jelly, Dijon mustard, whiskey, Worcestershire sauce and hot pepper sauce in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add hot meatballs and cook, stirring occasionally, until meatballs are glazed.

Tip: One package (2 lb/1 kg) of frozen cooked meatballs contain about 65 meatballs. Alternatively, homemade cooked meatballs may be used.
