Everyone needs a good pancake mix to start their morning right. Serve this at breakfast with your preferred syrup of choice.

Yield: Makes about 10.



  • 1 3/4 cups Pancake and Waffle Mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tbsp salted butter, melted or oil
  • 1 egg
  • Maple or pancake syrup


  1. ​Place mix in a bowl.
  2. Using a spoon, make a well in centre of mix.
  3. Whisk together water, melted butter and egg until blended.
  4. Pour water mixture into well and stir just until combined. Do not overmix.
  5. For each pancake, spoon batter, spreading lightly, onto a lightly greased griddle or frypan over medium heat.
  6. Cook pancakes until golden brown, about 2 minutes per side. Serve with syrup.
