Roasted Garlic Bread

Made with roasted garlic and a few ingredients, this savoury bread machine bread will surely elevate your next Italian meal or serve with your favourite soups or stews.

Storage Time: 2 days on the shelf, 7 days in the refrigerator and up to 2 months in the freezer.

Yield: Makes 1 loaf (2 lbs)

Roasted Garlic Bread


  • 1 head roasted garlic
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 tbsp canola oil
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp thyme, crumbled
  • 1 1/2 tsp bread machine yeast


  1. Squeeze roasted garlic out of skins and mash with a fork.
  2. Place mashed garlic pulp, water, oil, sugar, salt, flour, thyme and yeast in baking pan of bread machine in the order in which they are listed or follow manufacturer’s operating instructions. Select the basic/white bread cycle.
  3. Remove baked bread from pan and cool on a rack.
