If your family loves homemade sourdough bread, then they will love our sourdough pancakes. These filling pancakes are similar to buttermilk pancakes, they have a nice fluffy interior and a crispy exterior - pass the syrup!
Yield: Makes about 10 pancakes

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 lagre egg, beaten
- 1 cup prepared sourdough starter, allow to come to room temperature
- 1/2 cup milk (2%)
- 2 tbsp canola oil
- Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
- Whisk together egg, starter, milk and canola oil; stir into flour mixture until combined. Do not overmix. Batter will be thick.
- Using 1/4 cup batter for each pancake, spoon batter, spreading lightly, onto a lightly greased griddle over medium heat. Cook pancakes until golden brown, about 4 minutes per side.
